Staying Protected:
Election Officials and Law Enforcement
September 2024
Ensuring election safety and security is a top priority for election workers. The Election Official Legal Defense Network (EOLDN) provides critical support to election officials and poll workers facing harassment or threats while administering elections. Local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies are also key partners in the effort to safeguard election workers and secure polling locations. Building relationships with law enforcement before Election Day can significantly enhance the protection and security of elections.
