Adding EOLDN to your election manual

January 2026

The suggested language below can be used to include EOLDN’s legal service as a resource in your election manual. Thank you for sharing our services with your colleagues.

“The Election Official Legal Defense Network (EOLDN) is a nationwide, nonpartisan project that connects election administrators and poll workers who have been harassed, intimidated, and targeted due to their election duties with attorneys who can give legal guidance and, where appropriate, representation, at no cost. EOLDN is chaired by lawyers Bob Bauer and Ben Ginsberg and supported by a bipartisan advisory board.

Anyone who works a governmental entity to administer elections is eligible to receive help from EOLDN, regardless of party affiliation or current employment status (former election workers are eligible). The service is not available to those working at the behest of a political party.

EOLDN attorneys represent election officials in their individual capacities. If a county or municipal attorney is unavailable to help, EOLDN can serve as a resource to find legal counsel.
