Judge Thomas Griffith
Judge Griffith served on the U. S. Court of Appeals for the D. C. Circuit from 2005-2020. He is currently Special Counsel in the Washington, D. C. office of Hunton Andrews Kurth. Judge Griffith is a Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School, a Fellow at the Wheatley Institution at Brigham Young University, and a senior adviser at the National Institute for Civil Discourse. Prior to his appointment to the D. C. Circuit, Judge Griffith was a litigation partner at the Washington, D. C. law firm of Wiley, Rein & Fielding. From 1996 through 2000, he was Senate Legal Counsel, the non-partisan chief legal officer of the United States Senate.
He and his wife Susan live in rural northern Virginia and are the parents of six and the grandparents of eleven.
